UK boutique asset manager Brickwood Asset Management has appointed Northern Trust as its whole office asset servicing solutions provider, spanning front, middle and back-office functions.
Founded last year, Brickwood Asset Management is an independent UK-based asset manager specialising in value investing. The firm was established by veteran equity fund manager Ben Whitmore, formerly of Jupiter Asset Management, alongside co-founders Claudia Ripley, Dermot Murphy and Kevin Murphy.
Northern Trust will provide investment data science tools through its partnership with Equity Data Science, helping Brickwood digitise and optimise its investment process. It will also offer outsourced trading, alongside middle-office services, fund administration, global custody, client reporting and performance management.
