AXA IM Alts has named Laurent Lavergne the global head of sustainability, effective October 1st, 2023.
Lavergne replaces Justin Travlos, who will depart later this year.
Lavergne will focus on driving AXA IM Alts’ decarbonisation efforts, particularly in real estate, infrastructure and natural capital sectors. The strategy involves reducing carbon emissions, investing in renewable energy and supporting nature-based solutions.
With over 28 years of real estate investment experience, AXA IM Alts said Lavergne is well-equipped to advance the company’s sustainable development platform.
Isabelle Scemama, global head of AXA IM Alts, praised Lavergne’s expertise and expressed gratitude to Travlos for his contributions to the responsible investment strategy.
