Credit Suisse has appointed Daniel Wild to the newly created role of global head of environmental, social and governance (ESG) in Zurich, taking a further step in developing its sustainable finance strategy.
The position is within the firm’s impact advisory and finance (IAF) department. Wild joins from the sustainable asset management specialist RobecoSAM AG, where he has been co-chief executive.
Beginning later in the year, Wild will report to Marisa Drew, chief executive of IAF.
“Since establishing the IAF department in October 2017, we have invested significantly in our franchise and have made great strides in responding to the material growth in interest from our clients for ESG and impact investing opportunities,” Drew said.
Credit Suisse described Wild as a pioneer in the sustainable finance market, who brings with him a wealth of experience in ESG and sustainability.
