Rotterdam-based asset manager Robeco has appointed Juan Carlos Briones to the new role of consultant relations director.
Briones will be based in Robeco’s London office and will report to Peter Walsh, global head of consultant relations and head of Robeco UK.
Briones previously worked at Pimco where he served as senior vice-president of the firm’s consultant relations group for over six years.
With 16 years of investment and financial services experience, Briones holds an MBA from London Business School and a degree in Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Walsh said: “This is a new role reflecting the momentum within the UK and our ambitions to further expand in this important market.”
Robeco has a long track record in the UK institutional market and currently has around £5.4 billion (€6.4 billion) in assets under management from UK clients, mainly in fixed income, private equity, low-volatility equity and emerging market equity strategies.
