BNY Mellon Investment Management (IM) has opened its first German office, in Frankfurt, bringing the firm’s suite of boutique investment managers to institutional, wholesale and wealth management clients in the country.
Thilo Wolf has been appointed country head and Silvia Mischel is director for institutional sales.
The move follows earlier forays into the European market by the firm, which saw it extend its distribution model in France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the Nordics.
Matt Oomen, co-head of global distribution at BNY Mellon IM, says: “This is an exciting time for the business where we bring the success of our European distribution model to Germany, a key financial market.
“Over recent years, we have witnessed strong interest in our absolute return, multi-asset and fixed income capabilities, and we are looking forward to delivering best in class investment, distribution and client service support to German clients.”
BNY Mellon’s boutiques include Standish Mellon Asset Management, Alcentra, Insight Investments and Newton Investment Management.
