WisdomTree has launched a Ucits ETF focused on the global space economy, offering investors exposure to companies involved in the development and commercialisation of space-related technologies and services.
The product, WisdomTree Space Economy UCITs ETF, is listed on Xetra, Borsa Italiana, Euronext Paris, Six Swiss Exchange and the London Stock Exchange listing scheduled.
The ETF tracks the WisdomTree Space Economy Ucits Index, an internal performance benchmark tracking companies operating across the space economy.
The ETF, with a total expense ratio of 0.50%, provides exposure across four segments of the market: launches and infrastructure, commercial space, defence space and emerging technologies.
Firms are evaluated through a framework combining thematic and company-level scoring, with more weighting assigned to businesses and sub-sectors considered most closely linked to the future development and commercialisation of the industry.
Is space becoming a repeatable, investable market?
The fund is rebalanced quarterly to keep up with developments across the space economy.
Pierre Debru, head of research, Europe, WisdomTree, said: “Space is transitioning from a niche, government-led domain into a broader economic ecosystem with expanding commercial and strategic importance. A milestone in this shift could come with the SpaceX IPO, which is widely expected to attract unprecedented investor attention and further accelerate mainstream participation in the space economy. This ETF is designed to capture that transformation through a diversified and forward-looking approach to investing in the space economy.”
