Kames Capital has launched a Dublin-domiciled version of its Global Diversified Income fund.
The UK-domiciled incarnation of the fund, was launched in 2014, and is managed by Vincent McEntegart of Kames’ multi-asset team. The fund has returned 14.35% since launch, and 0.53% in a difficult first quarter of this year, highlighted when compared to its sector benchmark loss of 2.61%.
McEntegart will remain manager of the new global investment vehicle, and his team will combine a top-down macroeconomic view with bottom-up stock selection, and the fund’s portfolio will typically be comprised of between 200 to 300 holdings.
Its investable universe includes investment grade and high yield bonds, global equities, listed property and other income providing assets. It aims to generate a monthly income of 5% annually, with a target total return of 7-8% net of fees over the three to five years.
The fund is available to investors across Western Europe, and British Crown dependencies Guernsey and Jersey. Its base currency is the euro, and there are additional US dollar, sterling, Swiss franc and Swedish krona share classes.
