Julian Ide, former chief executive of Old Mutual Global Investors, has been appointed chief executive of ETF provider Source.
Ide takes over from interim head Peter Thompson. Thompson took over from founder and chief executive Ted Hood, who left the company in March 2015.
Ide himself left OMGI last year in a senior management restructure that saw fund manager Richard Buxton take over his role, which followed OMGI’s merger with the investment division of wealth manager Quilter Cheviot.
Prior to OMGI, Ide held senior roles at BBCA Asset Management, Credit Suisse Asset Management and Schroders Investment Management.
This is the latest senior appointment in the last few months for Source. In January, the ETF provider appointed six country heads and established two new senior positions in a drive to increase its presence in Europe.
