Nina Lagron, described as the first woman to manage Middle Eastern equities, has joined Paris-based asset manager La Francaise.
Lagron (pictured) is now a senior portfolio manager at La Francaise, a new role within the firm’s socially responsible equities team.
According to her biography, Lagron worked at Amundi for seven years and was the “first woman to run an equities fund investing solely in the Middle East, primarily in Saudi Arabia”.
She has since co-managed the GemEquity fund at Gemway Assets for more than two years.
Lagron is a recognised expert in emerging market equities investments, said Laurent Jacquier-Laforge, CIO equities at La Francaise, which has €60 billion in assets under management.
“She will be a major asset who will help La Française achieve its ambitions in responsible equities investments while also broadening its global management capabilities, particularly with respect to the zero carbon investment strategy.”
