Amova Asset Management is the new name of Japan headquartered Nikko Asset Management, which has officially taken effect as of 1 September, 2025, including a new logo and branding.
Launched in 1959, the manager counts some $260bn of assets under management.
According to a statement from the company, the new name consists of three concepts: ‘Am’ stands for asset management, ‘Mov’ refers to movement, and ‘Ova’ is derived from the Latin nova, meaning new.
The new logo combines symbolism for upwards movement towards a target, while the logotype “features rounded corners to add a human touch in our business and demonstrating client care”.
Branded assets such as websites have been redesigned. Visitors to the previous website en.nikkoam.com will be automatically redirected to the new global website global.amova-am.com.
There is no change to the ownership of the company. It remains a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group.
