Nathalie Dogniez, independent director, The Directors’ Office, Silke Bernard, partner, Linklaters LLP, and Brian McMahon, Luxembourg country head & EMEA head of alternative business development, BNY, will consider the European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF) and its ability to facilitate a European catch-up with the US in mainstreaming private assets when they attend the Growth in European Asset Management Conference hosted by Funds Europe in the Grand Duchy on 4 November.
This comes as investor preferences have shifted towards illiquid investments at the same time that regulators have made it easier for traditional UCITS managers to enter the private markets universe.
The panel will consider the evolution of ELTIFs in portfolio construction. and their viability in Europe’s distribution channels.
Also in mind that private markets fund management comes with complexity and risks, and challenges such as liquidity management the panel will also ponder more broadly how firms might expand from the public markets to the private markets.
The Growth in European Asset Management Conference takes place 4 November at Le Royal, Luxembourg, as Funds Europe’s inaugural half-day event in the Grand Duchy.
