US-based law firm Paul Hastings has added investment funds lawyer Catherine Gokah to its London office and made her a partner.
Gokah joins the firm from Kirkland & Ellis, where she was a London-based partner.
In her new role she will advise fund sponsors on the formation and operation of private investment funds across multiple asset classes, with a focus on infrastructure, real estate and credit.
She has also advised on carried interest arrangements and secondaries transactions, as well as a variety of bespoke arrangements, including separately-managed accounts, co-investment programmes and liquidity solutions transactions.
“Catherine’s extensive experience and deep sector knowledge, particularly in infrastructure and real estate, will be invaluable as we continue to build our European and global funds practice and support our clients through an increasingly complex regulatory and market environment,” said Diala Minott, global co-chair of the Paul Hastings investment funds and private capital practice.
“Her appointment reflects our continued investment in top-tier talent to build a holistic platform across the full spectrum of fund formation, including credit, real estate, leveraged buyouts and growth funds.”
