Bill Gourlay, managing director at Independent Consultants Network, a business advisory consultancy, will be speaking at FundsTech Forum 2025 on April 29, joining a panel focused on the transformative impact of tokenisation in asset management.
At the forum, Gourlay will contribute to the panel “The Transformative Power of Tokenisation”, which will explore how digital asset strategies are opening new doors for transparency, faster settlements and wider access to previously illiquid assets.

With more than 30 years of experience across asset owners, asset managers, service providers and fintech firms, Gourlay brings insights into how innovation is reshaping the financial services landscape. His career includes senior leadership roles such as group chief commercial officer at Carne Group, partner at Aon and CEO of Idea Group, alongside key positions at LGIM, SWIFT, RBC, State Street and Deutsche Bank.
Now leading management consulting initiatives across the financial services and technology sectors, Gourlay specialises in commercial, product, and marketing transformation. He also serves as a non-executive director for the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation.
Gourlay’s experience across every corner of the investment ecosystem will provide a grounded yet forward-thinking view of where tokenisation is headed—and what it means for fund managers, clients and the broader financial infrastructure.
