The Investment Association (IA) has launched FUNDAnalyser, a fund data platform designed to enhance how investment managers research, compare and benchmark fund flows and assets under management in the UK.
Unveiled in partnership with data solutions provider Fundipedia, FUNDAnalyser is now available to all members of the IA, the trade body for UK investment managers. The platform offers over two decades of detailed data on fund sales and investment flows—both retail and institutional.
FUNDAnalyser provides monthly insights into UK investor fund flows and funds under management, spanning both UK and overseas domiciled funds. Members can access trend data as far back as 2002, allowing for long-term analysis and granular comparisons with sector peers.
For broader accessibility, a public-facing version of FUNDAnalyser has also been made available online. While more limited in scope, it still offers access to three years’ worth of data, providing a snapshot of key fund trends for non-members and external observers.
Reimagining asset management for 2025
The tool enables users to generate bespoke reports, benchmark performance and support internal decision-making with deeper insights into evolving investor behaviours. The IA has framed it as a key resource to inform distribution strategies and sharpen competitive positioning in an increasingly data-driven industry.
The IA and Fundipedia have committed to an ongoing development roadmap, shaped by user feedback and evolving market needs.
Miranda Seath, director for market insights, at the IA, commented: “We will ensure that FUNDAnalyser continues to make significant leaps forward in providing timely and relevant data, analysis and reporting to investment managers. The investment industry has a clear voice in the development of data products and services tailored to their needs through FUNDAnalyser. We’re very excited to be able to offer this new platform to our members and look forward to working with Fundipedia and with our members as we develop its capabilities.”
