The French asset management firm Natixis Investment Managers is in early-stage talks about a possible tie-up with Italy’s Generali, according to a report – unconfirmed by both companies – in the Financial Times.
The report said that the talks could lead to a joint venture firm co-owned by Natixis and Generali.
The unnamed sources said it was not yet certain that agreement would be reached.
Both companies declined to comment.
