Meyer has almost 25 years’ experience in the asset management industry, including 14 years living and working in Asia.
He has spent the last two years as Abrdn’s Chief Client Officer and succeeds Rene Buehlmann, who will leave the firm.

David Scott, the firm’s Chief Technology Officer is to retire, as previously announced, and Wilson will continue as CEO of Interactive Investor.
The appointments form part of an overhaul of the group’s senior leadership structure designed to simplify decision making which sees the creation of a new Group Operating Committee, comprising seven people including the Group CEO, COO and CFO, and the business unit CEOs.
Jason Windsor, Group Chief Executive of Abrdn, said: “These changes are about having the right people in the right roles, sharpening our focus on clients, and strengthening our Investments business. By working together, the new leadership team will drive profitable long-term growth that will benefit our shareholders, our clients and our colleagues.”
