Janus Henderson Investors has launched a Europe-focussed active equity ETF.
The Ucits-compliant fund will be managed by portfolio managers Robert Schramm-Fuchs and Marc Schartz, and will adopt a high conviction approach, investing in a concentrated actively-managed portfolio of approximately 20 to 25 large and mid-cap European companies.
According to a press statement, the fund is style-agnostic and will invest wherever the best opportunities exist across pan-European equities.
Schramm-Fuchs, European Equities Portfolio Manager, said: “Europe is home to a wide array of world-leading companies, the diversity of which allows investors to balance exposure between cyclical businesses and those geared into secular growth themes.
“Current valuations appear attractive and the dispersion of returns across different European equity markets and sectors present opportunities for active managers to enhance performance.
“We believe a high conviction approach, coupled with a repeatable and disciplined investment process, can harness the alpha potential available in the region, and ultimately deliver for our clients”.
The launch extends Janus Henderson’s offering of active ETFs in Europe, following the launch of its inaugural active ETF in the region last month.
The fund will initially list on Xetra with ticker JCEU GY followed by a listing on Borsa Italiana and will be available in all major European markets.
