AXA Investment Managers has appointed Megan Brennan as portfolio manager in its thematic equity team, based in London.
Brennan reports to Tom Riley, head of global thematic strategies for AXA IM Core, and will work alongside Gregg Bridger, a portfolio manager, and will co-manage some of AXA IM’s global thematic strategies
Megan joins from Sarasin & Partners, where she spent seven years as a portfolio manager and analyst on thematic equity and multi-asset funds.
According to the firm, Brennan’s appointment bolsters a team whose franchise has been “successfully growing” over the past few years.
Commenting on the appointment, Tom Riley, Head of Global Thematic Strategies for AXA IM Core, said: “Megan’s appointment is a fantastic addition to the long-standing credentials of our Thematic Equity team. She has strong experience in running global thematic portfolios, as well as detailed fundamental analysis, and understanding disruptive and changing themes.”
AXA IM runs other sector funds, including global technology, healthcare and biotech UK. In 2015, AXA IM launched a Thematic range of funds with a robotics strategy and today, the thematic range encompasses eight main strategies, with around $9 billion of assets under management.
