Fund platform Allfunds has appointed Patrick Mattar, formerly of Aberdeen Standard Investments, as global head of exchange-traded products (ETPs) distribution.
Mattar will be responsible for leading the development and launch of the ETP platform, which Allfunds plans to launch this year to run alongside its platforms for traditional and alternative funds.
At Aberdeen, Mattar was global head of ETFs and prior to that he was a managing director at iShares, BlackRock, where he spent nearly a decade helping develop the growth of ETFs use via new products and investor uses.
He holds a Masters in Economics from the University of St Andrews and was a Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Stirling and attended Trinity College, Dublin.
