Frankfurt-based fund services platform Universal Investment Group has appointed John Burns as its chief technology officer and as a member of its executive board.
In the newly-created role, Burns will oversee the strategic direction and enhancement of the firm’s IT platforms.
Burns joins Universal Investment from DWS, where he most recently served as global head of technology and operations.
Prior to that, he was chief technology officer at Pioneer Investments.
