Investment manager Cardano has named Matt Harrison and Sinead Leahy as co-heads of Cardano Advisory, responsible for pensions covenant, investment, sustainability, corporate finance and risk advisory.
The roles will commence on January 1, 2024. Both managing directors, Harrison will continue to lead the trustee services practice and Leahy will continue to lead the corporate advisory services practice.
After 16 years at Cardano Advisory, CEO Darren Redmayne will step down at the end of the year but remain a board advisor to the company.
Harrison, managing director at Cardano since 2014, specialises in advising pension schemes on employer covenant, scheme-specific funding, and transaction-related pensions advice.
Leahy, who joined Cardano in 2022, is an investment specialist focusing on large schemes and corporate sponsors, offering expertise in diverse pension issues.
Michael de Lathauwer, group CEO at Cardano, said: “Advisory is a core pillar of the business and has grown year on year since Darren Redmayne and Alex Hutton-Mills co-founded the company, which is a huge testament to the team.”
Darren Redmayne added: “2023 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Advisory and we head into 2024 with strong activity across covenant, risk solutions, strategic investment advice and sustainability advisory.”
