Asset manager Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has appointed Andrew Koch as senior portfolio manager for its value & income investment style team in London.
Koch will report to Simon Gergel, CIO, UK equity, and help in the firm’s expansion of the value and income sectors for the UK and Europe.
Before the new role, Koch was with Legal & General, where he has spent the last nine years as head of the value & income team, directing their European, UK and Asia strategies.
Koch comes from a background in European and UK equities, along with a focus on ESG analysis and corporate engagement. He has over 30 years of experience, including at HSBC Asset Management, Henderson Global Investors and BAE Systems Pension Fund.
Gergel commented that the appointment “demonstrates the continued focus and development of our franchises in the value and income sectors.”
