ETC Group has appointed Chanchal Samadder as its head of product to help design and implement institutional-grade investment products.
As the head of product at the European digital asset-backed securities provider, Samadder will be responsible for developing the firm’s global product strategy while also focusing on managing the existing suite of crypto exchange-traded products.
Before this role, Samadder served in senior positions at abrdn, Lyxor, Blackrock and UBS.
Samadder will report to CEO Tim Bevan and be based in London. He highlighted that his appointment came at a pivotal moment “with the next wave of investment into crypto and digital assets expected to be institutionally led”.
