Private credit specialist Colesco has appointed Karin Pasha-Huizinga as its responsible investment officer. Pasha-Huizinga will lead the development and implementation of the Rabobank Group-backed firm’s responsible investment framework and help guide investor capital to facilitate the sustainable growth of mid-market companies.
The firm said that its investment approach mainly focuses on companies with potential to advance the firm’s core pillars: sustainable food, energy transition and inclusive society.
Before joining Colesco, Pasha-Huizinga was a partner at the Cardano Group. She also oversaw the integration of sustainable investing specialist Actiam and gave strategic risk advice to Dutch pension funds.
Pasha-Huizinga holds MSc degrees in applied physics and in risk management from the Delft University of Technology and VU Amsterdam respectively. She is also a CFA Institute charter holder.
Pasha-Huizinga commented: “Joining a team dedicated to responsible investing enables me to support the sustainability performance of mid-market companies.”
Danny Vroegop, co-founder and chief investment officer at Colesco, added: “Positive societal impact is in our DNA. Therefore, it was imperative to have a responsible investment officer to drive our ESG commitments and help us to further shape and strengthen best practices across the industry.”
