Hiti Singh has become head of alternatives client management for Emea at Columbia Threadneedle Investments as the firm seeks to grow its real estate and other alternative assets.
Singh, whose role is newly created, joins from New End Associates, where she was a capital raiser for institutional clients working across real assets.
Columbia Threadneedle said it is committed to the strategic growth of its alternatives business, particularly global real estate, where the firm has assets under management of £22 billion and over 260 employees.
Singh reports to Stewart Bennett, global head of alternatives.
Michaela Collet Jackson, head of distribution in Emea at the firm, said this was an important strategic hire and that clients’ had an increasing demand for alternative investments.
