Private investment manager Neuberger Berman has introduced the Neuberger Berman Tactical Macro UCITS Fund, managed by veteran Robert Surgent.
The fund aims for positive returns regardless of market conditions by identifying pricing imbalances across diverse assets, employing a highly risk-managed framework, said Neuberger Berman.
Additionally, the Neuberger Berman Tactical Mamcro UCITS Fund aims to attract investors seeking a sophisticated and diversified investment approach to navigate the evolving market landscape confidently.
Surgent, based in New York, will lead a team of twelve experts in asset allocation, research, trading and portfolios, enhancing the fund’s management.
The strategy offers a unique multi-asset approach, remaining uncorrelated to traditional assets, and focuses on tactical views, implementation and risk management, said Neuberger Berman
Robert Surgent highlighted the current macro investment environment, characterised by higher inflation and volatile rates. The fund addresses these challenges and offers investors a diversified approach to mitigate risks, he said.
José Cosio, head of global intermediary (ex US) at Neuberger Berman, said: “Portfolio diversification is crucial to weather market turbulence. With this in mind, we are pleased to offer clients a unique multi-asset macro process that captures short-term dislocating catalyst events, more outward-looking thematic events and diversifiers.”
