Schroders has made changes to its senior investment team, which Peter Harrison, chief executive, said were needed to continue making progress after three years of “rapid” expansion.
Charles Prideaux (pictured), who joined the firm from BlackRock in 2017, has been appointed to the newly-created role of global head of investment.
He will be responsible for the management, oversight, and development of the UK asset manager’s investment platform alongside the environmental, social and governance (ESG) team.
Carolina Minio-Paluello, hired from Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM), takes up the new role of global head of product, solutions, and quant. She was most recently LOIM’s global head of solutions.
Johanna Kyrklund has also been appointed to a new role: global chief investment officer. According to the firm, and alongside her existing role as global head of multi-asset investments, Kyrklund will be responsible for reinforcing “a culture of collaboration” as well as the sharing and creating of investment ideas across the business.
Prideaux, Minio-Paluello and Kyrklund will all work in partnership across Schroders’ investment desks with a focus on investment performance.
Schroders’ global head of distribution John Troiano will step down after nearly 40 years at the firm to be replaced by Lieven Debruyne, who has been leading business strategy in Asia Pacific over the last 14 years. Debruyne will continue his position as chief executive of the region until a successor is appointed.
