Global law practice Dechert LLP has expanded its funds practice with the addition of a new London-based partner, Thiha Tun.
With over two decades of experience as an investment funds lawyer, Tun will advise alternative asset fund sponsors, institutional investors and financial advisors on a broad range of issues, including fund formation and capital raisings, fund investments, secondary transactions, establishment of managed accounts, carried interest schemes and co-investment arrangements.
Tun joins Dechert from Akin Gump.
“Thiha’s wealth of experience and expertise will further enhance our global funds capability and supports our continued growth in London and worldwide,” said Gus Black, global co-chair of Dechert’s financial services group.
Tun is the latest in a series of partner hires to Dechert’s global funds practice, with Dublin managing partner Carol Widger and London-based Luxembourg specialist Marianna Tothova both joining in January.
