Offshore law firm Ogier has promoted Richard Bennett in the firm’s London-based investment funds team to managing associate.
Bennett, who has been with Ogier since 2011, is a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong, and worked at Hogan Lovells and the UK’s now defunct Financial Services Authority before joining Ogier.
He specialises in licensing, fund structuring and restructuring and financing arrangements under the laws of the British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands for private equity and hedge fund clients.
Nicholas Plowman, the practice partner of Ogier’s Hong Kong office, said: “Ogier’s Caribbean funds team continues to build on its leading reputation, and clients have come to rely on Richard’s expertise and commitment to client service.”
Bennett is based in the firm’s London office as part of Ogier’s British Virgin Islands and Cayman in Europe teams.
