Investment house AllianceBernstein has appointed Lee Matthews to the newly-created role of UK sales director.
Matthews will be responsible for servicing the UK wholesale market with an initial focus on the discretionary channel.
The appointment is part of an expansion of AllianceBernstein’s UK wholesale sales team and will support the firm’s growth strategy for the UK.
Matthews brings 14 years of asset management experience, most recently as senior business development manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments, where his responsibilities included growing and retaining assets through the discretionary channel.
In his new role, Matthews will be reporting to Jose Cosio, head of global financial institutions.
