London-based investment house RWC Partners is to acquire Pensato Capital, a London-based investment manager for an undisclosed sum.
Pensato, which is majority-owned by fund manager Graham Clapp, manages around $280 million (€246 million) in European equity funds.
The firm’s seven-person investment team will join RWC, which manages approximately $11.2bn across a small number of investment strategies.
Clapp said that merging with a larger firm would provide the opportunity to develop strategies beneficial for investors.
“It’s very exciting to join RWC at a time when Europe is back on people’s radar,” he said. “We believe there is a plethora of opportunity in European equities.”
