Hermes Investment Management has appointed Douglas Anderson as head of consultant relations.
The £28.6 billion (€33.2 billion) manager owned by the BT pension scheme with a focus on sustainable investments said Anderson’s appointment will aid in strengthening its relations with the consultant community across the UK and Europe.
Based in London, Anderson will report into Mark Miller, head of UK and the Middle and North Africa institutional, and will be responsible for the development and maintenance of relationships with UK and European based consultants.
Anderson has over 20 years investment management experience, and was previously head of consultant relations at Lazard Asset Management.
Prior, he spent eleven years as a consultant relationship manager at Capital International, and also worked in consultant and actuarial roles at Bacon & Woodrow (now Aon Hewitt) and Hymans Robertson.
Anderson replaces Jennifer Stillman, who left the firm last summer to join Aviva Investors as head of global consultant relations.
