Schroders is to launch the European Credit Absolute Return fund, aiming for a positive market return throughout the market cycle.
Managed by Patrick Vogel and Schroders’ European credit team, the fund uses an investment process that has delivered first quartile performance across four credit strategies, Schroders says.
The credit team currently manages €8 billion and has delivered a 5.1% per annum return over three years.
“The new fund will plug into our proprietary themes-based credit approach, to create a diversified credit strategy,” says Vogel, who is also head of European credit.
“Implementing themes through long and short positions in a highly risk conscious manner, we aim to combine high levels of alpha with credit yield to deliver consistent return for our clients.”
