Pioneer Investments is expanding its sales team in Switzerland with the appointment of Angel Márquez in the newly created role of institutional senior sales manager.
In the role he will work on developing the position of Pioneer Investments’ Institutional business in Switzerland, with a specific focus on pension funds, insurance companies and corporate/treasury areas of the market.
Based in Zurich, Márquez will report to Rainer Lenzin, country head – Switzerland and will join the four existing representatives of the Swiss sales team. Lenzin says: “Angel’s appointment further reinforces Pioneer Investments’ commitment to expanding our distribution footprint in the Swiss market and his expertise will help broaden existing relationships and identify new opportunities to better serve clients.”
Before taking up this position, Márquez was responsible for the development for institutional business and consultants at Allianz Global Investors Europe. Prior to that, he worked for Deutsche Asset Management as an active portfolio manager and investment analyst for Swiss and European equities.
Pioneer Investments saw record inflows of €7.1 billion in the first quarter of 2015, and has approximately €226 billion in assets under management as of May 31, 2015.
