The former head of UK distribution at French manager Carmignac Gestion, Matthew Wright, has joined NewSmith Asset Management (NSAM) as a partner.
He will head both UK and European distribution at NSAM.
Paul Roy, executive chairman of NSAM, says that alongside the firm’s existing equity investment products, the firm plans to launch new products across “key IMA sectors”.
Through a strategic relationship with SumiTrust, NSAM will also offer access to a wide range of Japanese investment opportunities.
