A quarter-of-a-million UK households are coping better with paying bills now than at the end of 2011, according to Legal & General’s latest MoneyMood survey.
However, there is a reduction in the number of households with cash left to save at the end of the month.
MoneyMood estimates those homes that are still “struggling” with finances find themselves short by £100 per month on average.
The number of “surviving” households (income covers bills and debt) has gone up by almost one-and-a-half million.
