Lombard Odier Investment Managers has appointed Jan Straatman to the newly created position of chief investment officer.
Straatman joins from ING Investment Management where he was global CIO for two years. The new position is effective from March next year.
The Geneva-based firm, part of Swiss bank Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie, has based Straatman in London and he will report to Hubert Keller, who is the bank’s managing partner responsible for the investment management business, along with Thierry Lombard.
Straatman has previously worked as CIO capital markets at ABP Investments between 2001 and 2006. ABP is one of the largest pension funds in the world, based in Amsterdam and New York.
The asset manager has 33.7 billion Swiss francs in client assets under management.
