Investment funds distributed in Belgium closed 2025 with a record €337.8 billion in assets, up 9.1% from 12 months previously, according to the Belgian trade federation Beama.
The first quarter of 2025 recorded a decline in net assets, driven by price losses, but each of the following three quarters posted gains, lifting the year’s total to a new high.
Beama said 60% of the year’s increase stemmed from new money flowing into funds, with the rest coming from capital gains.
Early figures for the first quarter of 2026 point to a slight decline in net assets across the Belgian fund sector, the federation added.
