Paris-based asset manager Carmignac has appointed Frederic Jeanmaire to its London-based investment team. He will join the business on 3 August 2026 to focus on European equities.
Jeanmaire will co-manage the Carmignac Portfolio Grande Europe and FP Carmignac European Leaders strategies alongside Mark Denham. He will also co-manage the Carmignac Portfolio Patrimoine Europe strategy alongside Jacques Hirsch as the investment team gears up for the launch of a new European equity fund later this year.
He holds British and French dual nationality and brings 20 years of experience in European equity investing. He began his career as an equity research analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London after graduating from HEC Paris, and is a CFA charterholder.
He joins Carmignac from Columbia Threadneedle, where he has worked since 2011. During his time there, he managed a number of European equity funds with combined assets under management of €3.9bn. This included a pan-European equity fund, consistently rated five stars by Morningstar, which he managed for 12 years.
His appointment follows a series of senior equity specialist hires into the investment team, including Kristofer Barrett and Naomi Waistell, as the firm continues to reinforce its ranks with top-performing, high-conviction active managers.
