BNP Paribas’ Securities Services business has appointed Robert van Kerkhoff as head of institutional investors sales and client coverage, and Alison Gurd as head of client experience and servicing.
Both will report to Alessandro Gioffreda, head of client coverage and territories, within the bank’s securities services division. The roles sit within the global client coverage and territories department, focused on enhancing client service delivery and the overall client experience across the business.
Van Kerkhoff will oversee the commercial strategy and global client coverage of the institutional investor franchise. Based in Madrid, he will focus on expanding the business through BNP Paribas’ integrated banking model and increasing collaboration with the group’s financial institutions coverage, global markets and global banking teams.
He brings more than 25 years of industry experience and has held many positions within BNP Paribas. Most recently, he was the regional head of Luxembourg, Ireland and the Channel Islands for Securities Services and was chief executive of BNP Paribas S.A. Luxembourg Branch.

Gurd, based in London, will lead the firm’s end-to-end client services strategy. Her responsibilities include overseeing global client-facing and proposal teams, with a focus on service execution and relationship management.She joins the role with more than 35 years of experience in the securities services sector. Prior to this, she served as BNP Paribas’ country head and head of securities services in the Channel Islands.
