New York-headquartered alternative asset manager Brookfield Asset Management has expanded access to Oaktree Capital Management’s Global Credit strategy by launching a Ucits version for investors in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
Brookfield holds a majority stake in Oaktree Capital Management. The strategy is now available through the Oaktree Global Credit Select Fund, aiming to meet demand in these regions for regulated investment solutions that offer daily liquidity.
Oaktree’s Global Credit strategy, launched in 2017, aims to deliver income and total return by investing across Oaktree’s global credit platform, including high yield bonds, structured credit, emerging markets debt and convertible securities.
Cross-Border Private Credit Set to Surge, But Operational Complexity Threatens Momentum
The actively managed strategy follows a value-based approach with a focus on risk management, adjusting exposure as market conditions change.
David Rosenberg, head of liquid performing credit and co-portfolio Manager, said: “Institutional and private wealth investor demand for multi-asset credit solutions in a UCITS format has continued to grow across the globe. The Fund provides a familiar and accessible structure while allowing investors to access Oaktree’s global credit platform, deep research capabilities, and focus on risk management.”
