Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management has appointed Huub van der Riet as senior portfolio manager effective 1 October and Chong Peng as portfolio manager effective 15 September as part of their sustainable equity strategy initiative.
Huub van der Riet brings 28 years of experience in the financial sector. He previously served at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for 23 years, which was formerly known as NNIP and ING IM. During his tenure there, Van der Riet worked on NNIP's impact strategies and held the position of lead portfolio manager impact strategies for seven years. He began his career at ABN Amro and Aegon.
Chong Peng's previous role was at APG Asset Management, where she managed the focus equity strategy as portfolio manager. The strategy is known for its long-term approach and emphasis on ESG factors.
The appointments come as part of Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management's focus on investing in companies that are involved in the transition to a sustainable economy.
