Unigestion appoints new equities portfolio manager

Unigestion has announced the appointment of David Latto as senior vice president, portfolio manager, within the equities team.

Latto will be based in Geneva, and report to Jean-François Clément, executive director and investment director within the equities team.

In addition to his responsibilities as an equities portfolio manager, Latto will become a member of the institutional asset manager’s equity investment and research committee.

Latto began his career in 2006 in the equity derivatives trading division at BNP Paribas Tokyo. He joins Unigestion from UBS, where he was an equity derivatives structurer. Previously, he has also worked at Nomura International as equity exotics structurer, at the European Investment Bank specialising in structured rates origination, and at Credit Agricole CIB as a flow and semi-exotics option trader.

Alexei Jourovski, managing director and head of equities at Unigestion, says Latto will be an “excellent” addition to a “burgeoning” team.
