Tages Capital, the asset management business of the Tages Group, has appointed Jamie Kermisch as chief executive officer (CEO) of the firm.
Kermisch has experience in the alternatives space, he was the former CEO of Mariana Investment Partners, a specialist alternative asset management firm. He was also previously group managing director of Fauchier Partners, a leading institutional fund of hedge funds asset manager.
Kermisch has spent 20 years at several leading investment banks, including 10 years as a managing director at Morgan Stanley where he held various senior executive positions. Among other things, Jamie managed the bank’s hedge fund client businesses in Europe as well as its special situations group focused on multi-asset event-driven investment strategies.
Tages Capital merged its fund of hedge fund business with La Française last year creating a $3 billion (€2.6 billion) vehicle.
“Jamie’s breadth of knowledge and skills will be key to driving our ambitious plans for future growth. These include hiring a number of new investment teams across various investment strategies where we intend to invest $600 million of seed capital in 2016,” says Panfilo Tarantelli, founding partner of Tages Group.
Subject to regulatory approvals, Kermisch will be joining Tages this month.
