SocGen Securities Services hires Brucoli for Southern Europe

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has appointed Lucrezia Brucoli as head of coverage to support business development across Southern Europe.

Brucoli will be based in Milan and report to Mathieu Maurier, global head of sales and relationship management, and Frédéric Barroyer, CEO of Italy.

She joins from SGSS’s main rival, BNP Paribas Securities Services, where she was global sales and relationship manager for the Italian market. Brucoli started her career at BNP Paribas in Paris in 1997 and moved to Milan in 2000.

Brucoli’s principal focus as she leads sales and relationship management initiatives across Southern Europe will be Italy and Spain.

She replaces Gabriele Pollastri, who has been appointed senior banker for SGSS in Italy and will leverage his securities services knowledge to develop relationships with key clients, according to the firm.

SGSS had nearly €4 trillion (€3955 billion) in assets under custody at the end of June last year, the most up-to-date figure available.
