Paris boutique appoints fixed income big hitter

Parisian investment boutique Karakoram has named Jean-Marc Bélières portfolio manager and head of fixed income.

He will be charged with cultivating the manager’s fixed income offering. He brings with him the Euro Rendement fund, a French-domiciled vehicle that invests primarily in Eurozone corporate bonds, which he launched in 2004 when he joined Society Wealth Management as fixed income chief.

The France-domiciled Euro Rendement Réel fund mainly invests in eurozone corporate bonds issued in euro and does also select fixed income funds.

Bélières left Society Wealth Management in 2013 to join Olympia Capital Management, which he left in June this year.  Other previous roles include head of asset management at Quilvest Gestion Privée, director at Banque OBC from 1986 to 1997, and Odier Bungener Courvoisier at ABN Amro Paris from 1997 to 1999.
