Kames strengthens European offering with two appointments

Kames Capital has made two appointments aimed at bolstering its offering to European investors, including Robin Black, an Asian equities specialist from Macquarie Group.

Black joins the firm’s Edinburgh-based equities team as an investment manager reporting to Stephen Adams, head of equities.

At Macquarie Group, he was a managing director in the Hong Kong division and responsible for global sales of pan-Asian equities. He is also a past Martin Currie investment manager.

Native German speaker Martin Weiss becomes business development manager for the German market, reporting to Richard Dixon, head of continental European wholesale.

Weiss joins from Pioneer Investments, where he was client and sales relationship manager for Austrian, German and Italian clients.

Kames Capital managed assets of £57.8 billion (€73 billion) worldwide, as of June 30, 2016.
