Former Schroders COO Markus Ruetimann joins prime broker board

Prime brokerage firm Global Prime Partners has appointed Markus Ruetimann to its board as a senior non-executive director.

Ruetimann was previously group chief operating officer (COO) of Schroders, a position he held for 12 years.

At Schroders, his remit included global responsibility for institutional portfolio services, fund services, information technology, change and project management as well as corporate services.

Previously to that he was global head of technology and portfolio services at UBS Global Asset Management and COO of stockbroking firm Phillips & Drew (now part of UBS). He has over 25 years experience working in financial services.

Ruetimann is a Swiss national and holds a number of non-executive positions. He is a trustee of the charity Action for Children.
