Fidelity International is on a recruitment drive to expand its UK and continental real estate business.
The firm’s most recent hire is Ewan Montgomery, who becomes real estate portfolio manager with responsibility for UK-wide investment and asset management.
Montgomery replaces Steve Howling, but Fidelity is also adding to its UK, German and French teams, recruiting a mix of professionals with both asset management and investment experience to newly created roles, the firm said.
Neil Cable, head of real estate at Fidelity International, said the real estate business was continuing to grow.
“Fidelity has enjoyed a strong start to this year with our first round of capital raising for our Eurozone Fund hitting €111 million as well as a steady stream of inflows from institutional clients looking for income,” he said.
“With such strong client demand and steadily growing portfolios, we are looking to grow our team of experienced real estate professionals across Europe.”
Montgomery has previously worked for CBRE, Aberdeen Asset Management and, most recently, Cording Real Estate Group where he was director of investment for UK commercial property.
