BNY Mellon IM appoints consultant head

BNY Mellon Investment Management has appointed Chris Hamer as head of consultant relations.

Hamer joins from Threadneedle Investments and will manage BNY Mellon IM’s relationship building with investment consulting firms around the globe, coordinating contact between consultants and BNY Mellon IM’s investment boutiques.

Hamer fills the role left by Iain Williams and is to be based in London and report to Olivier Cassin, head of institutional distribution in Europe.

Hamer has 17 years’ experience and at Threadneedle he was consultant relations director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Previously, he was consultant relationship manager at AllianceBernstein.

BNY Mellon IM is one of the largest institutional managers in Europe with over €522 billion of assets under management in that segment.
